This is a new piece which I wrote during the unusually cold spell of weather which we had
back in November 2010. It will feature on my next CD as part of my "Seasons Suite".
This takes me back to the days when I did a lot of running. Occasionally, I would get caught
out on a hill top in a blizzard. This piece hopefully conveys the sensation of being out in the
elements with swirling snow driving relentlessly into one's face - it can be pretty intimidating
when you're cold and tired!
This piece really brings out the best in my Stonebridge GS-23-CR - a wonderful
cedar/rosewood grand auditorium hand-built in the Czech Republic by Frantisek Furch.
